Eleven's commitment to achieving net zero

As part of our agency’s ongoing commitment to reduce carbon emissions, we’ve published a carbon reduction plan which sets out our trajectory towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2040 and Net Zero by 2050.

While we’re not legally required to report on our carbon emissions, our commitment to social responsibility compels us to lead by example. We also understand that many of the incredible organisations we partner with must report their emissions. By sharing our journey, we aim to support and guide them towards their own carbon-neutral goals.

Here’s what we’ve set out to do in our action plan:

  • Green hosting: We’ll assess our current hosting provider to reduce emissions from increased website traffic.
  • Carbon-efficient development: Our website will be re-engineered for maximum carbon efficiency.
  • Renewable energy: We’ll review our energy suppliers and consider switching to renewable energy providers.
  • Optimised storage: We’ll minimise emissions from large data transfers by optimising our server storage.
  • Limits on travel: Overnight stays for business travel will be significantly reduced.
  • Internal training: We’re developing a programme to educate our team on our carbon reduction initiatives and the role they have to play.
  • Supplier support: We’ll collaborate with our suppliers to understand and mitigate their carbon emissions, encouraging them to set their own reduction targets.
  • Carbon offsetting: We’ll explore purchasing carbon offset credits and other schemes to counterbalance our emissions.

Embarking on this journey is an exciting and vital move for us at Eleven. We've established quarterly reporting to ensure we stay on track and transparent in our progress.
